Worcestershire Children's First are offering to improve service provision by sharing links with the public and primary care practitioners. These links provide support for families to access the right services at the right time, supports the provision of Early Help within primary care and helps to prevent the escalation of need.
PLEASE NOTE: CHILD PROTECTION REFERRALS AND CONCERNS HAVE NOT CHANGED.

Early Help Offer
Having this information available to primary care and the public will enable families to help themselves. The Early Help Offer provides a variety of information and services including signposting and support and can be accessed here. Here2Help
This is part of Worcestershire’s response to Covid19. By accessing this, parents can be signposted to community support in the their own community meaning that support is bespoke and sustainable.

Reducing parental conflict
During the Covid-19 pandemic, parental relationship may be under pressure for several reasons whether paretns live together or not. Self-help information and links to support can be found by visiting the here2help website.

Parental Advice
The Starting Well service has a parenting team that can offer online and telephone support for parents as well parenting courses (such as Sollihull and Birth and Beyond).
The parenting team can offer 1-1 parenting support as well as virtual parenting groups. These groups focus around a number of issues such as, support with children’s behaviour, anxiety, eating, and sleeping routines. The team can also signpost to other agencies that can provide support to parents in their own community.
The school nursing service can work with schools and children to provide online or telephone support.
