Population Health Intelligence Analyst Apprenticeship

We are looking for enthusiastic people who are passionate about making a difference in their communities to take part in a pioneering apprenticeship scheme. The scheme will give participants the opportunity to learn how to use health and care intelligence and innovative engagement techniques to improve the health and wellbeing of the communities in which they live.  

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), a regional division of the NHS, are working across the Integrated Care System (ICS), comprised of the CCG, local councils and other important strategic partners to create an innovative apprenticeship scheme. The successful candidate will combine work alongside studying to gain a Public Health Practitioner integrated degree apprenticeship with the University of Coventry in their Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.  

At the end of the three year programme, the successful apprentice will have acquired all the key skills for an ongoing career in the broad field of Population Health management, with the networks and competencies to secure employment in our Integrated care System.

    We expect to be interviewing in September, with us welcoming our apprentices to their first work placement shortly after, before they begin studying at Coventry University for 3 days a month, starting from January 2022.

    • Level 2 or equivalent English and Maths qualification, grade C or above 
    • Demonstration of successful study at Level 3 (A level, Access, BTEC) or equivalent experience, providing evidence of working at a level 3 study. 

    Experience in a public health related role is desirable.

    The integrated degree programme is specifically designed to run alongside employment, with the skills you learn at university and in your role complementing each other.

    Coventry University is in the process of finalising the location and method of delivery (face to face or virtual), but there will very likely be at least 1 study day per month that takes place in a classroom in Coventry. Relevant travel expenses incurred by apprentices to attend study days in Coventry will be fully reimbursed by the CCG.
